The Juggling act

With school back this week it’s time for the juggling act to get real. The summer holidays are just fantastic, (especially when you’re on holidays too). Not as many schedules to meet, not as many kids activities to get to and the daily routine has a little flexibility.
The juggling act for a lot of working mums and dads is tough. These days we want: to be the best parents (and have the best kids); successful careers; time to exercise; a clean house and a garden that supplies us in copious amounts of organic fruits and vegetables.
When you surround yourself with like minded people this becomes normality. To achieve what we think is possible and perform the juggling act successfully our days are jam packed. 4.30am starts to the day are common to fit everything we need to achieve into the day. Being organised with meals (pre-planning just like our mums used to); catching up on emails and other work after dinner; catching up with friends whilst exercising (multi tasking) and staying on top of the daily washing and cleaning by doing bits every day.
Sometimes the juggling act does get a little overwhelming and hard to manage. These are the times we need to look after ourselves……have a massage; turn our phones off; do some yoga or meditation; read a book; switch off….even if it’s for as little as 30minutes. Recharge, reload and go again!!!
Life moves fast it’s ok to not move with it at the same speed sometimes!
