A Milestone for junior multisport
For the first time in multisport history, JK Training is hosting an exclusive, juniors-only championship and selection event. By separating the junior divisions from senior or age-group races, this unique event guarantees a spotlight purely on the next generation of multisport talent. Designed to accommodate the varying developmental stages of young athletes, the racing format ensures a highly competitive and fair environment.
The Ultimate Race Venue: Eastern Beach Geelong
Geelong’s iconic Eastern Beach Reserve provides the perfect backdrop for this premier sporting showcase. Recognised for its stunning coastline and sheltered waters, Corio Bay offers a safe yet challenging open-water swimming environment. Following the swim, competitors will transition to a fully closed, spectator-friendly cycling and running course spanning the scenic waterfront promenade. The undulating layout will allow young athletes to push their limits, making it a highly engaging and dynamic day for both competitors and spectators.
High Stakes and National Pathways
More than just a race, this event is the primary pathway for young athletes to represent their state. The top-performing Victorian triathletes will earn coveted spots to compete at the National Championships next March. Because athletes are vying for selection, the competition is expected to be fierce, showcasing a high calibre of swim, bike, and run disciplines.
Interstate Rivalry
Adding a layer of prestige to the day, the event will also welcome a strong contingent of junior triathletes from South Australia. Having South Australia’s best travel to Geelong elevates the standard of competition, turning the championships into an interstate clash. This cross-border rivalry gives Victorian athletes an early taste of national-level competition on home soil.
Community & spectator experience
Beyond the elite racing, the championship aims to be a vibrant community celebration. We anticipate a large turnout of family members, coaches, and local sports enthusiasts cheering along the foreshore. For emerging athletes, it is a rare opportunity to witness the intensity of high-performance junior racing up close. With its spectacular coastal views and top-tier racing infrastructure, Geelong is primed to deliver an unforgettable day of junior triathlon.
