Meet Jo King
Jo was a talented junior middle- distance runner and took up triathlon at the age of 18.
2 years later she won the 1996 World Junior title (Olympic Distance) in Cleeveland, Ohio. 2 years later at age 22, Jo won the 1998 World ITU Olympic Distance title and in doing so became the first to have won both titles.
Jo went on to combine Olympic Distance, Formula One racing (super short) and Ironman Triathlons and was successful in all distances.
Some major victories to name were:
Nice Long Course 1999
Challenge Roth (Ironman distance) 1999
Australian titles in Sprint Distance, Olympic Distance, Half Ironman and Ironman Distances
Since retiring from Triathlons Jo’s drive and passion for being active has rubbed off onto many of her personal training clients and students from her Phys Ed classes, as she aims to show people how to make exercise a part of their lifestyle.
Jo’s biggest motto for her online training clients is Quality vs Quantity and combining a training program around the client’s life.
